JCLP - AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Aims and Scope
Consultation-liaison psychiatry is defined as the psychiatric discipline that explores the connections between general clinical medicine and various specialties with mental and psychosocial conditions. It deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of psychiatric disorders and psychosocial problems that accompany physical illnesses. In this context, JCLP is a multidisciplinary research journal covering all aspects of the interface between psychiatry and other medical fields. Scientific quality and originality are key criteria for the acceptance of manuscripts. In addition to peer-reviewed original articles, the journal publishes letters to the editor, reviews, and case reports relevant to its aims. Submissions must not have been previously published in print or electronic format. If the manuscript is derived from a conference presentation, detailed information about the presentation must be provided. The submitting author is responsible for the accuracy of author details and their order. Manuscripts considered for publication may be returned to authors for revisions following peer review, and revisions are expected to comply with reviewer suggestions.
Peer Review
All submissions will first be evaluated by the editors to determine their suitability for the journal. If deemed appropriate, the manuscript will be sent for peer review to be assessed by independent experts. The final decision on acceptance rests with the editors.
Submission Declaration
The submitted manuscript has not been published previously, except in the form of an abstract, preprint, academic thesis, or published lecture. It is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Its publication has been approved—implicitly or explicitly—by all authors and the responsible authorities at the institution where the study was conducted. If accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form or in any other language, including electronically, without the written consent of the copyright holder. Authors are also required to complete and upload the ICMJE disclosure form, available at https://www.icmje.org/disclosure-of-interest/.
Authorship
All authors must have made substantial contributions to the work (e.g., study design, data collection and analysis, interpretation, manuscript writing). A corresponding author must be designated for communication during the editorial process. Authorship changes are generally not considered after submission. Authors should carefully evaluate and confirm the author list and order before initial submission. Criteria for authorship are outlined at: https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html.
Ethical Procedures
All submitted manuscripts must adhere to research and publication ethics. Research articles must include details of ethical approval (name of the ethics committee and approval number) and the institution where the study was conducted. The manuscript must include the following statement: "All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards."
Plagiarism
JCLP strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. In cases of suspected plagiarism or data manipulation, the editorial board will follow appropriate guidelines. Authors must upload a plagiarism report generated using a valid similarity detection tool.
Article Processing Charges
JCLP does not charge any fees for manuscript processing or submission.
Disclaimer
The ultimate responsibility for the content lies with the authors. Opinions expressed in articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the editors or the editorial board.
